Chicken that has been roasted in a home kitchen, over an open fire, in an air fryer oven, or on a professional rotisserie is described as roast chicken (rotary spit). Roast chicken is a dish that is popular in many different cultures around the world.
- 2.5-pound whole chicken, giblets removed
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tbsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
In a bowl, combine pepper, dried thyme, dried oregano, garlic powder, smoked paprika, dried basil, salt, and avocado oil. Fully combine all together.
Grab the chicken, trust the wings and legs, and spread the flavourings that we made.
Use rotisserie folks to hold the chicken for rotisserie cooking.
Place the chicken in the oven then choose 'Roast'. Set the temperature at 350°F and set the timer for 50 minutes.
When the chicken is already cooked. Remove the rotisserie, serve it whole or slice the chicken, and put it on a serving plate.
