Beignets are doughnuts, they taste like doughnuts! However, the texture is a little more yeast-risen. The inner flavor is not as sweet as a conventional doughnut, and the holes in the center are bigger because they puff out more.
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/8 cup water
- 1 large egg, separated
- 1 1/2 teaspoons melted butter
- 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- Cooking spray
- 2 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
- Electric hand mixer
- Silicon egg-bite mold
Put the flour, white sugar, pinch salt, baking powder, vanilla extract, melted butter, large egg yolk and water in a bowl and mixed it well.
In a bowl put the egg white and mix it until soft peaks form. Combine the first mixed.
After that, coat the Silicon egg-bite form with cooking spray. Scoop the dough mixture into the silicon egg-bite mold.
Put it in Air Fryer Oven, Set the temperature at 370°F and set the timer for 7 minutes.
Get the beignets out and flip over onto a pan with parchment paper and put it back again in the air fryer oven. Set temperature at 370°F and set the timer for 4 minutes.
Once it is done put it on a plate and dust with some confectioners' sugar and serve.
